Prohibited conduct
Bypassing access controls, exploiting vulnerabilities, malware, denial-of-service activity, mass personal surveillance, unlawful data collection and harmful use are prohibited.
Public sources and authority
Scans should generally target public resources or systems for which the user has sufficient authority. Legal, contractual and technical restrictions must be observed.
Responsible requests
Rate limits, scan quotas, reasonable request speeds and configured robots.txt rules must be respected. Blocks and protective measures must not be bypassed.
Evidence and reports
Preserved content may only be used, shared and assessed lawfully. Technical results must not be misrepresented as a final legal ruling.
Enforcement
Where misuse is suspected, BrandGuard may stop scans, suspend access, request evidence of authority or terminate for cause.
